Welcome! Photography has always played a role in my life....Working as a news photojournalist in the early 70's for the Florida based newspaper the Lakeland Ledger which set the stage for my professional photographic journey and studies. I knew then my photographic mantra lay in photographing people...documenting life, be it in a landscape or candid photos on the streets of cities across America. I am now in my third year of teaching locally in North Carolina and continue to provide small group classes and individual lessons at affordable prices in all aspects of digital photography and processing. BIO: Bart Boeckler has over 30 years experience as a freelance photographer. Working professionally as a photojournalist, event, wedding and portrait photographer from the early seventies. I will mention as an artistic side note that Bart is also a very talented musician who played professionally throughout the 70's and early 80's before settling down to begin a family. His recent digital work is masterfully detailed with emotional precision. Although, he is proficient with the latest digital software technologies, he prefers to use his skills and experience to capture images that are timeless with unique perspectives. You will often hear Bart say: " It's not the camera, it's the photographer, even the least expensive digital camera these days is very capable of capturing stunning images if you know how to use it ".
One thing that becomes quickly clear viewing Bart's portfolio is his versatility and artistic craftsmanship. Recently being asked by many in 2007 to share what he has learned, he now teaches a local photography class and is mentoring high school and college students. Devoting his knowledge and experience to inspire a new generation of digital photographers who have recently chosen to pursue the craft.
