I am here to tell you...."Bart Allen Boeckler is not a self-proclaimed award winning photographer with over 30 years of professional working experience". However, Bart's film and digital work has been featured in numerous local and national publications, billboards, television, advertising, motor sports venues as well as numerous websites, and art shows over many years. He has worked professionally as a photojournalist, event, wedding and portrait photographer from the early seventies and continues to stay busy each year professionally. I will mention as an artistic side note that Bart is also a very talented musician who played professionally throughout the 70's and early 80's before settling down to begin a family. His recent digital work is masterfully detailed with emotional precision, vivid colors and original ideas. Although, he is proficient with the latest digital software technologies, he prefers to use his skills and experience to capture images that are timeless with unique perspectives, creative lighting and often vividly exposed! You will often hear Bart say: " It's not the camera, it's the photographer who will make the difference, even the least expensive digital camera these days is very capable of capturing stunning images (check his point and shoot album) if you know how to use it intuitively and know where to stand".
One thing that becomes quickly clear viewing Bart's extremely large portfolio is his versatility, artistic craftsmanship, passion and knowledge of the process. His vivid photographic work covers a global gamut of subjects and locations. After being asked by many in 2007 to share what he has learned, he now teaches a local photography class, summer and fall workshops and is currently mentoring high school and college students. Devoting his knowledge and experience to inspire a new generation of young digital photographers who have recently chosen to pursue the craft.
